Andy joined the laboratory in 2002. He has since then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science with Land Management as an area of concentration. Andy has been heavily involved in data collection from a number of field and greenhouse experiments. His activities have included soil sampling, plant growth assessments, and plant disease and insect monitoring in plants grown in soils treated with vermicomposts research, set-up in North Kingsville, Wooster and the Waterman Farm at the OSU main campus.
In the lab, he is one of the experts on analysis for soil chemical and biological properties, including salt extractions, chloroform fumigations, digestions and microplating. He also extracts soil for nematode assessments. More recently, he cares for the worm population located in Jennings Hall. |
