Example of Results

Example of Biomolecular Inteaction Analysis results done at the Plant-Microbe Genomics Facility with a Biacore T100 instrument which measures binding between various biological molecules under differing conditions. The samples do not use labels. The results are generated in real time by the use of surface plasmon resonance technology.

For Example, the sensorgrams below show the binding of the analyte Leucyl t-RNA synthetase to the ligand Elongation Factor 1a at various concentrations which can be used to calculate binding constants. These enzymes from the Archea Methanobacter thermoautotrophicus were genetically engineered to elucidate the function of the subdomains of the enzyme . This work is courtesy of Corinne Hausmann.
