PMGF Services

For all services, other than DNA Sequencing, we require a visit or at least a telephone conversation in order to discuss your project prior to beginning. There are three primary reasons for doing this. First, our understanding of your objectives, resources, and time frame is critical for planning the experiments. Second, it is important for you to understand the options, advantages and limitations of the facility's instruments and services. Third, there are numerous details, (e.g. protein concentration, buffer composition, etc.) that need to be decided upon after discussing the two points above. There are no charges for this initial consultation.

After the work is completed, we would be very appreciative if the research performed at the Facility is acknowledged in the article in which the data is published. Also, we would like to have a reprint of the article for our records.

The Facility is always interested in performing novel applications on the instrumentation here or adapting established experimental procedures to fluorescent and/or high throughput technology. For example, we have adpated DNA Footprint Analysis so it can be performed on the 3730 DNA Analyzer. Please contact us if you would like to explore this opportunity.
