Deadlines for autumn 2009 applicants:
- Jan. 1, 2010 - Deadline for US students to apply for University Fellowships
- November 30, 2009 - Deadline for International Students to apply for University Fellowships and Program Fellowships.
- If you have a bachelor of science degree you may apply directly to our Ph.D. program.

- 1 original transcript of all colleges and universities attended to the program office and send 1 original transcript to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
- personal statement - Your statement should explain your background and indicate why you are interested in getting your Ph.D. in biochemistry (1 page is sufficient)
- CV
- copy of GRE score (we have not designated a minimum score - your GRE score will be compared to other applicant scores
- copy of TOEFL score (international students only) - 620 paper, 260 CBT, 105 IBT, 8.0 IELTS
- TSE is NOT REQUIRED - Applicants who do not submit a TSE score will have an opportunity to take the SPEAK test at Ohio State
- 3 letters of recommendation - you also have an option to submit letters of recommendation on-line

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- After I submit my application, when will I be notified of the decision?
The Admissions Committee will review all complete applications during January and February. Students will be contacted in February to arrange an interview. We anticipate a class of 12 students.. - May I apply to more than one department/program?
Yes, but you will need to fill out an application for each department or program. - If I apply to more than one program, do I have to pay the application fee each time I apply?
Yes, you will have to pay the application fee each time you complete an on-line application.
- May I apply if my GRE or TOEFL score is below the minimum?
Yes, you may still apply. The decision of the Admisisons Committee is based on the entire package of materials, not just on one item. However, your application will be compared to all other applications, and those students who meet the minimum requirements will have a better chance of being admitted.
