Research Interests:
Synthesis and properties of biochemically important molecules. My research
program is directed at the synthesis and detailed characterization via
physical and chemical analyses of biochemically important molecules.
These include sugars, nucleosides, nucleotides, and sugar nucleotides
and other similar biomolecules. My laboratory employs mass spectrometry,
nuclear magnetic resonance, IR, and other techniques to determine the
properties of compounds that we have synthesized.
