We focused on succession in today's lecture. The sites I've included here have information about secondary succession. First, here is a link about slash and burn agriculture and reforestation in tropical rainforests: Deforestation and Development in Amazonia.
Next are sites that talk about the ecology of fire-adapted communities, especially as it relates to the Yellowstone Fire: Yellowstone Fires and their Legacy and Map of Yellowstone Fire Areas.
And last, but not least, is a class project for a group of students at the University of Oregon who provide nice photos on successional stages of the temperate rainforest of my home state: Forest Succession in the Pacific Northwest.
