Michael showed us how he does the layout for one of his "pod" forms. He turns the interior in a rectangular piece of wood, and then lays out the curves he will carve. | ||||||||

Here are two of the pieces passed around during Michael's rotation. He uses a rotary carving tool for the texturing and then sandblasts the turning after carving. | ||||
