RESEARCH INTERESTS:

I enjoy research in food webs, invasive species, environmental toxicology, predator-prey dynamics, and fish recruitment.  I have an active interest in environmental policy and legislation.

On occasion, Gene still does fieldwork ("running" gillnets on an Ohio reservoir).
