Research Interests:

My current research interests focus on assessing biotic and abiotic mechanisms influencing the success of stocked age-0 saugeye (Sander vitreus X S. canadensis).  Specifically, I am completing a meta-analysis of historical fisheries data collected by the Ohio Division of Wildlife and comparing the survival and growth of saugeye stocked at two different sizes: fry and fingerlings.  Additional components of my Ph.D project include quantifying overwinter growth using PIT tagging to distinguish between size-dependent overwinter mortality and size-dependent overwinter growth, and determining whether early growth rates of fish coming out of the hatchery relate to survival in the reservoir.
