The 2005 Practical Summer Workshop in Functional Genomics

In 2005, the Workshop was held between July 25 – August 5 and focussed on plants. It provided a unique combination of daily lectures (90-120 minutes) by prominent experts in the fields of genomics, RNA expression analysis and proteomics, with hands-on laboratory experience aimed towards solving cutting edge problems in the respective areas. The laboratory experiences were complemented by bioinformatics sessions. The schedule of the conducted workshop indicates the distribution of expected activities throughout the day.

The workshop was open to advanced undergraduate students having a strong theoretical and experimental background in molecular biology. It was also open to graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty members.

To maximize interactions with instructors, speakers and attendees, participants remained on campus for the entire duration of the workshop.

Recent Updates

The 2005 Summer workshop was extremely successful and well received.
