Plant Biology Department's Seminar Speakers

Saharu Oda represents the PCMB at the Denman Undergraduate Research ForumAll Plant Biology Undergraduates, along with Graduate Students, are invited to an informal luncheon with the Plant Biology Department's weekly seminar speaker, usually held on Thursday. We encourage our undergraduates to come to these luncheons and get personally acquainted with our noted speakers. Faculty Position Opening

The merging Departments of Plant Cellular & Molecular Biology and Molecular Genetics at The Ohio State University, in conjunction with the interdisciplinary Plant Molecular Biology/Biotechnology (PMBB) program, invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. NSF Grant Awarded to Biao Ding

Biao Ding has been awarded a 3-year grant in the amount of $480,000 from the National Science Foundation to study the mechanisms of cell-to-cell RNA trafficking.

David Somers' Lab Published In Nature

David Somers’ group has published an article in Nature (Sept. 20) entitled, “ZEITLUPE is a circadian photoreceptor stabilized by GIGANTEA in blue light.” Woe-Yeon Kim and Sumire Fujiwara are co-first authors.

Rebecca Lamb Receives OPBC Award

Rebecca Lamb has received an award of $57,567 over two years from the OPBC for a study entitled, ”Two Arabidopsis WWE-PARP proteins involved in abiotic stress response and development.”
