Remembering

N. Wilson Britt, died May 17, 2001. Britt was first and foremost an educator. After graduating from Bowling Green College, he taught in the Barren County School System and served as principal of Cave City High School. He later received his doctorate from The Ohio State University, where he remained and held the position of Professor of Entomology and Limnology. He was a veteran of WWII, stationed in England. Britt's research area was aquatic biology, specifically the identification, distribution and ecology of aquatic insects.

Harold R. Willson, died January 23, 2001. An Ohio State University associate professor since 1983, he studied chemical and cultural pest management practices in alfalfa, corn and soybeans. His work took him to South Africa, Swaziland, Columbia, Germany, Eritrea, Uganda, and Ukraine. Before coming to Ohio State, he was at Cornell University and the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in India and trained other Peace Corps volunteers. While in India, he also worked for the Ford Foundation. He received his B.A. at Humboldt State University, M.Sc. at the University of California/Davis and his Ph.D. in entomology from UC/Riverside.
