The CBS Staff Advisory Committee was created in 1998 as a forum for staff to advise the Dean on staff issues and serve as a conduit between the staff and the College. Developed & administered by the CBS Staff Advisory Committee, this site is designed to:
- highlight the many achievements of our staff
- recognize outstanding performance by staff
- provide information about CBS Staff Advisory Committee
- communicate events and news
- offer links to helpful sites for staff

CBS Staff Events
Annual quarterly events include a Valentine's Day Breakfast, a Spring Picnic, an Ice Cream Social, and a Staff Appreciation Luncheon.
The next event will be the Staff Appreciation Luncheon in October. Details will be forthcoming.

College of Biological Sciences Annual Distinguished Staff Award
College of Biological Sciences faculty and staff are invited to nominate a full or part-time CBS staff member who has shown exceptional accomplishment, displayed leadership and provided exemplary service to the College, the University and the university community. One CBS staff member will be selected from the nominations to receive a $1200 award. The recipient of the Annual CBS Distinguished Staff Award will be announced at the Staff Appreciation Lunch to be held each Autumn Quarter.

CBS Staff Advisory Committee
Membership ideally includes one staff member from each major College Unit. Members are selected by the Dean from two nominees submitted by the unit chair or director. Appointments are for two years staggered to assure continuity in membership between years. Members are eligible for reappointment. Please feel free to contact any member with questions, topics for discussion or other concerns.
