Marcus started working at the Soil Ecology Laboratory in September 2007. He is a chemistry major and would like to do research in the field of organic chemistry. Marcus is a student research assistant whose responsibilities include assisting with laboratory experiments, doing field research, and data analysis. Currently he is working on growth of field crops as affected by vermicompost teas. Marcus is also happily married with a 3 1/2 year old daughter. Marcus recently attended the 5th Annual Vermicomposting Symposium in Springfield Illinois on February 11, 2008. He received a scholarship to attend the Symposium and spoke as part of Dr. Arancon's lecture, "Latest Findings: Uses for Vermicompost Teas." Marcus plans to attend more conferences in the future to present ongoing research.
