Each base has a quality value assigned to it by the software which is represented by a color bar above the peak. The color bars can be seen only with select software, e.g. Sequencing Analysis ver 5.1 or FinchTV (www.geospiza.com), or in the printouts. The greater the score the better the quality, and the height of the bar is directly proportional to the quality value. Blue bars represent quality values of 20 and above, i.e an accuracy of 99% or better. Yellow bars represent quality values less than 20 but greater or equal to 15. Red bars represent quality values less than 15 where as an N is assigned to peaks with a quality value of 10 or less, i.e. an accuracy of 90% or less.
