Libraries
Ohio State has the 16th largest library system in
the United States with a collection totaling more than 4.6 million
print volumes and 3.5 million microforms. The
Main Library in the center of the campus, was recently renovated. The
library system also includes 24 separately housed libraries in such
subject areas as agriculture, biological sciences, chemistry, medicine,
pharmacy, and many others.
The libraries offer a wide variety of automated literature
searching services. Many familiar sources, such as Biological
Abstracts, are available through this service.
The Health Sciences Library provides access to the various databases
of the National Library of Medicine.
