Remarks: This group is confined to the southeast drainages except for the southern half of peninsular Florida.

Elliptio chipolaensis (Walker, 1905) - Chipola and Chattahoochee River systems
Elliptio occulta (Lea, 1843) - Alafia, Oklawaha, St Johns, and Wekiva River systems
Elliptio nigella (Lea, 1852) - Endemic to Apalachicola River system
Elliptio oscari (Wright, 1892) - Suwannee, Oklawaha, and Wekiva River systems
Elliptio purpurella (Lea, 1857) - Apalachicola and Ochlockonee River systems
Elliptio tetrica (Lea, 1857) - Apalachicola, St Johns, St Marks, St Marys, Suwannee, Withlacoochee, Wekiva, Alafia, Chipola and Ochlockonee River systems
