Range: Known only from Rock Fish Creek of the Cape Fear system.

Remarks: This peculiar species has somehow escaped naming by Lea, Conrad, or anyone else. It may have a very limited range. It is inflated posteriorly, even more so than in gemina, conferta, or insulsa, and with purple nacre. Most specimens are rayed.

I have found this species in a black water, cypress-laden habitat. It was first collected by Kirk Wright.
